How to best conduct a showing
The way your house is prepared and show to a prospective buyer will always play a big role in the sales process. There are a few things you can do to
- Your home should smell great. For a new
smell apply a coat of fresh paint to the walls, bake some cookies for
a homey feeling, or decorate with some potpourri to dispense that
enticing spring scent.
- Secure all pets. For large dogs you
might want to make arrangements during showings, or take them for a
walk. Make sure that there are no pet odors.
- Open all drapes and turn on all lights
in the house.
- Potential buyers usually feel more
comfortable if the owners are not present.
- If people unaccompanied by an agent
request to see your property, refer them to me so that we may
pre-qualify them.
- Leave a number where you can be reached when you are leaving town.
